Dr. Monica Sharma
Trained as a physician and epidemiologist, Sharma worked for the United Nations more than twenty years. She currently engages worldwide as an international expert and practitioner on leadership development for sustainable and equitable change. She works with the United Nations, universities, management institutions, governments, businesses, media, and civil society organizations. She has generated transformational results worldwide on select sustainable development goals, and published and presented over 250 articles in journals and international forums. Sharma created and uses a unique response model based on extensive application—a conscious full-spectrum model—which is for simultaneously solving problems, shifting systems, and creating new patterns sourced from individual inner capacity and transformational leadership. Her recent book Radical Transformational Leadership: Strategic Action for Change Agents was a Gold Winner in the Nautilus Book Awards (Business and Leadership Category) and is the reference book in the TLFS Program.
Prof. Karen O’Brien
Karen O’Brien is an internationally recognized expert on climate change and society, and transformations. She has contributed to four IPCC reports and is currently co-chairing the IPBES transformative change assessment. Karen has worked closely with Monica for over a decade. Through this collaboration, she developed the Three Spheres of Transformation framework that underpins cCHANGE’s approach to sustainability transformations and has been widely cited in academic literature and the IPCC AR5. Karen has been hailed as one of the world’s most influential researchers of the past decade by Web of Science in 2019, 2020, and 2021. In 2021 she was co-recipient of the BBVA Foundations Frontiers of Knowledge Award for Climate Change. Her recent books include You Matter More Than You Think: Quantum Social Change for a Thriving World and Climate and Society: Transforming the Future. Karen is one of three lead authors for the delivering outstanding results with the IPBES Transformative Change Assessment.
